Provide peer counseling and consultation to individual clients, families, and team members; act as a liaison with community resources; carries out rehabilitation and support functions; and assists in treatment, substance abuse services, education, support and consultation to families, and crisis intervention under the clinical supervision of the Program Manager.
Completes and maintains progress notes and other pertinent documentation according to agency and regulatory service standards. The Family Support Specialist will be expected to work one-on-one with clients and families to provide ongoing supports to maintain housing, increase self-sufficiency, and pursue recovery.

Will also assist the Mobile Crisis Team Program Managers in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluating the performance of the professionals and support staff in the delivery of referral and information, hotline and crisis intervention services.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology or related field, with a minimum of one year professionally supervised work in the delivery of mental health, chemical dependency and/or social services.
